The bedrock of the Federation’s functioning is based on 6 very strong principles.

1. Working towards establishing and providing all the required special facilities required for the education of the Visually Challenged.

2. Providing complete infrastructure necessary for training the Vision Impaired in employment generation trades and schemes.

3. Identifying, guiding and assisting the Visually Handicapped seeking suitable employment in Government as well as Private Sectors.

4. Facilitating and providing financial assistance to Visually Challenged for self employment projects

5. Creating awareness and showcasing to the society the abilities, potential and talent of the blind.

6. Building a platform for the over all empowerment and rehabilitation of the blind by formulating and implementing of various activities and programmes.
