Scheme for Provision of Subsidised Petrol/Diesel for the Disabled Department of Social
Welfare1, This scheme was started in the year 1985 and the disabled persons who are the owners of motorised vehicles are given subsidy to the extend of 50% on the purchase of petrol/diesel for the journeys from their residence to place of work and back. The monthly income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.2500/- per month. For vehicles up to 2 h.p. subsidy is given on consumption of a maximum of 15 litres of petrol/diesel per month while for vehicles of more than 2 h.p. the maximum limit is 25 litres. |
